We have a winner!

The mystery person behind the mask was Gabrielle Castina. She starred in the original "Nocturnal Invasions". She was assumed dead in the "New Blood" sequels at the hands of Gabrielle Costello, when actually she was the one pulling the strings and manipulating Costello.
